Data protection
The short version: we don't store your IP address, we don't use Google Analytics or any other external analytics service, and we don't have advertising tracking scripts.
Why is it first on this page?
Most sites put a few standard pages here that no one reads and hide the measurement facts in a resource. We have something to say right at the beginning, so we write it right at the beginning.
Traffic measurement is own. It runs on our server and the data does not leave it anywhere. That's not a marketing ploy — it's a technical decision with consequences described below.
What we measure
- which page was viewed and when
- what domain you came from (for example, a search engine) — domain, not the full address,
- which link to the store was clicked,
- what people searched for if they used search.
Which we deliberately do not store
- IP address. It won't get into the database. Where we need it to defend against abuse, only its one-way fingerprint is stored and it cannot be returned to the address.
- Name, email or anything that could identify a specific person — unless you email us yourself.
- Parameters after the question mark in the address where you came from. They can contain anything you've been looking for elsewhere. They are cut off before registration.
- The table with searched queries is summary and has no column, in which the person identifier could be stored. It's not an omission, it's an intention.
Cookies
We use a technical cookie with a random session number so that one view is not counted ten times and for the defense against form abuse to work. It does not contain anything about you and it is not possible to find out who you are.
We do not have third-party advertising or tracking cookies. That's why you won't even find a bar that would force you to unclick something.
Where the data goes
Nowhere. We don't sell them, we don't give them to ad networks, and we don't send them to analytics services. They remain on the server where the website runs.
If you click on the link to the store once, the transition through the affiliate network will be recorded by the partner — this is outside our website and is governed by its rules. How the affiliate model works is explained on the site How we earn.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we process about you and to request its deletion. In practice, the answer is usually short: we have nothing to delete about a specific person, because we cannot associate it with the data we store. This is a consequence of how the measurement is constructed.
If you wrote to us by e-mail, we can delete the message — just ask.
